Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies in New York state seeks a Quality Control Inspector A to ensure products meet stringent specs at receipt, in-process, and final inspection stages. You will work with production, interpret GD&T, and document test data to support quality goals.

Responsibilities include auditing CoCs and test docs, writing DMRs, and coordinating with MRB and QA to address issues with precision measuring tools and inspection standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality control inspection.
• IPC-A-610 — Electronics assembly acceptability (plus).
• J-STD-001 — Soldered electrical/electronic assemblies (plus).
• ISO 9001 knowledge regarding quality systems (plus).

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret basic GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Conduct mechanical/dimensional inspection of diverse product lines.
• Review/audit CoC, CoA, and FAIR documentation for accuracy.
• Write Defective Material Reports (DMRs) and coordinate RTV tracking.
• Use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height/ depth gauges, dial indicators).
• Coordinate with MRB, Planning, Purchasing or QE to resolve issues.
• Inspect during receipt, in-process, and final stages; report systemic trends to supervisor.

This involves inspecting parts during receipt of material, in-process and final inspection, communicating errors, and recording test data. The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts

The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)
• Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product lines
• Review/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR
• Write DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinates RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)
• Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, vernier’s, etc.)
• Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issues
• Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy
• Inspect parts during receipt of material, in-process and final inspection and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in area of responsibility.
