Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a Process Operator II to troubleshoot production issues and maintain equipment. You will review data to ensure product quality and adjust parts to blueprint-defined tolerances using precision tools.

Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, performing controlled adjustments, inspecting parts, and documenting results. The role requires teamwork with quality, engineering, and production while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in dimensional inspection or similar role.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience using height gauges and calipers for precise measurements.
  • Hands-on metalworking experience with aluminum/copper preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and repeatable measurement skills.
  • Good documentation of measurements and adjustments per procedures.
  • Familiarity with shop safety practices and tool handling.

Job Description

The Process Operator II troubleshoots process problems during production. They also maintain production equipment and review data to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

Use height gauges, calipers, hammers, and precision fixtures to adjust aluminum and copper parts to blueprint-defined tolerances.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications to determine dimensional requirements.
  • Perform controlled mechanical adjustments to achieve precise fit, alignment, and form.
  • Inspect parts to verify compliance with dimensional, visual, and quality standards.
  • Handle and secure parts using approved tools and methods to prevent damage.
  • Maintain an organized workstation and ensure tools and gauges are properly maintained.
  • Accurately document measurements, adjustments, and inspection results per quality procedures.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Communicate with quality, engineering, and production teams to support workflow and resolve issues.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools such as height gauges, calipers, and mechanical fixtures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience manipulating metal parts to tight tolerances.
  • Experience working with aluminum and copper materials preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and repeatability.
  • Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Comfortable documenting measurements and work performed per quality procedures.
  • Understanding of shop safety practices and proper tool handling preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams
