Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies, based in New Hampshire, seeks a Quality Control Inspector III – CMM Operator to ensure production of quality parts. You will inspect parts in-process, communicate errors, and record test data to support mechanical and visual inspections of finished goods and supplier parts.

The role requires blueprint reading, GD&T application, and CMM programming using PCDMIS, with responsibility for nonconforming material reports and documentation review.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

  • Create new CMM inspection programs from CAD/blueprints using PCDMIS.
  • Run existing CMM programs and report results with measurements.
  • Develop work instructions for CMM operators.
  • Generate measurement reports for internal/external customers.
  • Identify nonconforming products and issue Defective Material Reports (DMRs).
  • Review CoCs, CoAs, FAIRs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with MRB, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering to resolve issues.
  • Inspect parts during in-process production and communicate trends to supervision.

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector III – CMM Operator works with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products. This involves inspecting parts during in-process production, communicating errors, and recording test data. The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the mechanical/dimensional and visual inspection of finished goods and supplier parts

Responsibilities
  • Must be proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Create new CMM inspection programs utilizing CAD and/or blueprints using PCDMIS software
  • Execute existing CMM inspection programs and analyze/report results
  • Develop work instructions for CMM operators
  • Generate measurement reports in required formats for internal and external customers
  • Identify nonconforming products and generate DMRs (Defective Material Reports)
  • Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product lines
  • Review/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIR
  • Write DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinates RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)
  • Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, vernier’s, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issues
  • Review of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracy
  • Inspect parts during in-process production and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in area of responsibility.
