Job summary

G&W Electric Co is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I for the 2nd shift (2 pm - 10:30 pm) to ensure conformance of components and finished products using visual inspection and precision measuring tools. The role supports ISO standard compliance and process improvements within a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years in manufacturing, ability to read technical drawings, and use calipers, micrometers and basic measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring and ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
• Able to use calipers, micrometers and other measurement tools.
• Experience with small hand and power tools.
• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection tasks on switches and parts before shipment.
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods.
• Generate Non-Conformances (NCR) in production.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings to QA.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying supervisor.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering and participate in customer inspections.
