G&W Electric in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to inspect components and finished products for conformance using visual inspection and precision tools.

You will read drawings, train staff, conduct internal audits, and help implement corrective actions, with authority to halt non-conforming processes.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in manufacturing; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring/ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills with MS Word and Excel; ERP experience desirable.
• Able to use calipers and micrometers, and Fluke multimeter.
• Experience with small hand and power tools.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must understand and follow verbal/written English instructions.
• Ideally 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components and finished products for conformance to process controls.
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying Supervisor.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
• Participate in customer inspections as needed.
• Prepare and enter Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Assist in creating Customer Improvement Initiatives (CIIs).
• Report ISO standard violations to Quality Manager.
• Participate in prototype reviews and dimensional analysis of components.
