Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks a Quality Control Engineer for a full-time, on-site role at the Buffalo, WV project. The QC engineer will implement quality control plans, review specifications, and manage the punch list on a large commercial site.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strong field and office coordination. Required: a 4-year degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, or construction management; 1–2 years on large projects; valid driver’s license; proficiency with Excel,

Qualifications

A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
1–2 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
A valid Driver’s License.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficiency with Excel, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Interface directly with the owner’s quality assurance team on all quality‑related issues.
Be technically experienced and capable of comprehending specifications, standards and code requirements.
Participate in submittal reviews, weekly QC meetings and preparatory meetings.
Perform inspections and manage the punch list process.
Maintain records of areas inspected, tests performed and findings.
Coordinate third‑party testing and source inspections.
