Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation, a leading civil, building, and specialty contractor, seeks a Quality Control Engineer for our Los Angeles, CA office. You will perform or assist in quality control engineering and inspection across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, welding, NDE and electrical disciplines, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of field or related experience preferred.
• Experience across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines.
• Understanding of contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
• Ability to develop in-depth understanding of QA/QC manuals and programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect to contract specifications the quality of construction, submittals, testing procedures.
• Develop understanding of the company quality control program and standards.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
• Maintain inspection records and related documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate quality control inspection schedules with other departments.
• Assist in internal/external quality control audits and review purchases for compliance.
