Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in New York, NY is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality management on our Midtown Manhattan civil construction projects. The role focuses on implementing the project’s Quality Management Plan and ensuring compliance with specs and standards.

You will perform inspections, document results, coordinate corrective actions, and work with engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to maintain high quality on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Three or more years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control for construction.
• Experience in collecting, analyzing, and testing field samples.
• Experience inspecting concrete, steel reinforcement, and formwork.
• CWI certification preferred; CQE/CQA a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Quality Management Plan across civil projects.
• Perform routine inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Document non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with the Quality Control Manager.
• Maintain records of inspections and test results.
• Support preparation of QA reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure quality standards are followed.
• Participate in project planning meetings and quality training.
