Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in design-build or heavy civil construction testing and inspection on large public works.
• 5+ years in quality control/inspection in disciplines like concrete, piling, rebar, etc.
• Strong understanding of contract specifications as they apply to QC/QA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (preferred).
• ACI or other industry certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inspect to contract specifications; verify assigned discipline.
• Develop understanding of the quality control program and standards.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability.
• Maintain inspection records and related documents.
• Prepare and implement QC procedures and testing equipment controls.
• Coordinate QC inspection schedules with other departments.
• Participate in internal/external QC audits.
• Review purchase documents for quality compliance.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
