Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group in Columbus, GA is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the quality process for raw materials, finished products, and supplier testing. You will lead ISO quality systems, drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, manage lab operations, CAPA, audits, and coordinate with external accreditation bodies. The role requires a bachelor's in a related field and at least five years of quality program experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, polymer, business management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience developing and administering quality programs (Lean, ISO, Six Sigma) and chemical batch making operations.
• Color matching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all quality related functions, manage ISO quality systems, and lead lean/six sigma initiatives in the plant.
• Develop lean and sustainable saving plans and facilitate small K generation and implementation.
• Develop quality standards/test/inspection plans for raw materials and finished products (specification, sample size and frequency).
• Develop and administer product and process audits to ensure standard work executed on the manufacturing floor and in the lab.
• Oversee all lab functions and personnel, assuring safety and integrity of operations.
• Lead product compliance activities to ensure certification.
• Act as the site representative for external accreditation bodies (e.g., FM, UL).
• Create CAPA plans and verify fixes with subsequent testing rounds.
