Job summary

Whirlwind Steel seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality operations at our fabrication plants. You will direct QA staff, implement quality processes, schedule audits, and maintain compliance with QSM and applicable codes. Experience with nondestructive testing and weld inspection is preferred.

You will drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, manage calibration and documentation, and partner with production to minimize defects while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• CWI certification by AWS is required.
• ASNT Level II UT certification or equivalent is required.
• Ability to attain Canadian Welding Supervisor Certification is required.
• Solid knowledge of Statistical Process Control and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Action Plans for each facility.
• Lead and mentor Quality Inspectors and staff.
• Implement Quality Management System across manufacturing and QC.
• Conduct internal quality audits and host third-party audits.
• Monitor calibration of equipment and tools and document results.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
