Job summary

Actus Nutrition in Jerome, Idaho is seeking a Quality Manager to lead product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance at our manufacturing facility. You will implement a preventative QA program, set specifications for finished products and raw materials, supervise QA personnel, and coordinate with operations and sales.

Responsibilities include audits of internal, vendor, and contract manufacturers, managing the lab budget, document control, and maintaining FDA, HACCP, GMP, Kosher, and Halal

Qualifications

• Experience in a food-grade manufacturing facility preferred.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the QA program at the facility according to policies and procedures.
• Establish quality specifications for finished products and ingredients and ensure adherence by production personnel.
• Recruit, direct, coach, and supervise QA personnel; develop training programs including SOPs and safety requirements.
• Prepare and manage the laboratory budget; identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Support operations with testing, development, and report results; communicate with sales and plant personnel on quality trends.
• Maintain FDA compliance, HACCP and GMP programs; conduct audits of internal, vendor, and contract manufacturers.
• Maintain Kosher and Halal certification programs and manage ingredient verification process.
