Job summary

Actus Nutrition, located in Idaho, seeks a Quality Manager to oversee product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for the manufacturing plant. You will develop and implement a preventative quality system, perform testing, ensure labeling accuracy, handle complaints, and communicate with sales and plant personnel on quality trends.

You will recruit and supervise QA staff, establish specifications for finished products and ingredients, manage the laboratory budget, and work to maintain FDA,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and software applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Experience in a food-grade manufacturing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Quality Assurance Program at the facility.
• Establish and monitor finished product and ingredients specifications.
• Oversee incoming material specifications with Purchasing.
• Recruit, coach, and supervise QA personnel; develop training programs.
• Prepare and manage the QA laboratory budget; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Investigate customer complaints and provide timely analytical results.
• Assist with production procedures, testing, and process development.
• Audit internal, vendor, and contract manufacturing quality systems.
• Maintain FDA compliance, HACCP and GMP programs.
• Sustain and improve QA data reporting and analytics.
• Oversee Kosher and Halal certification processes and supplier verification.
