Job summary

Actus Nutrition is seeking a Quality Manager to own product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance at our manufacturing plant. You will develop and implement a preventative quality system, ensure specifications are met, train and develop QA staff, and coordinate audits and interactions with sales and plant personnel on quality trends.

This role offers the chance to drive quality improvements during a growth phase and have a direct impact on product performance and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 5 years previous manufacturing QA management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Life Science or related area.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Assurance Program at the facility per policy and procedures.
• Establish QA specifications for finished products, in-process testing, and ingredients.
• Oversee supplier QA by evaluating incoming raw materials with purchasing.
• Recruit, coach, and supervise QA personnel; develop education programs.
• Manage lab budget and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve margins.
• Coordinate internal, vendor, and contract manufacturing audits.
