Job summary

Basic American Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA program at the Rexburg facility. You will oversee all food safety and quality from raw material receipt through finished product shipment, ensuring strict adherence to HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs and cGMPs.

You will coach QA staff and collaborate with Operations to drive safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Science with 5–7 years of related experience, HACCP and SQF Practitioner certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree required with five to seven years related experience and/or training.
Must have HACCP certification.
Must have SQF Practitioner certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee and secure all aspects of food safety and quality from raw materials to shipment. Lead staff and plant teams to ensure HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs and cGMPs are followed and maintained.
Develop, train, and sustain Good Laboratory Practices. Ensure testing is recorded and results are accurate; approve QA budget and capital projects; resolve process issues with Operations to reduce waste and cost.
Determine root causes of food safety/quality deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are validated and maintained.
Provide ongoing coaching, development, and training of all QA staff and support plant ops in safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Work closely with Technology, Marketing, Sales, and customers to ensure products perform as designed.
