Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in York, PA is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance across incoming materials, in-process audits, and finished goods release.

You will collaborate with operations, project managers, customers, and quality partners to maintain accurate documentation, timely shipments, and adherence to GMPs, SOPs, and safety standards while supporting audits and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality systems or assembly processes.
• Ability to inspect materials and finished goods per specs.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and quality docs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to prepare records and reports.
• Clear communication with operations, customers, and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials against specifications and release conforming materials for production use.
• Audit assembly lines and finished goods to verify compliance with work orders and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to GMPs, SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Review, approve, and release production documentation for accurate shipments.
• Record finished goods data and communicate quality issues to stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits and GMP training as requested.
• Communicate policies and train related processes to employees.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area; assist with overtime as needed.
