Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing by performing quality inspections throughout each job run and at final checks. You will verify weight counts, complete daily reports, and conduct machine inspections while ensuring adherence to safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities include auditing processes, tagging suspect products, reading job tickets, and communicating issues to the QA Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write instructions and correspondence.
• Must pass color vision test.
• Stand on feet up to 12 hours a day.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure quality during a job run and final inspections.
• Verify weight counts and complete daily reports and machine inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
• Identify suspect product and tag with a hold.
• Read and interpret job tickets for quantities and specs.
• Report issues to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Collect and inspect samples for color variance and defects.
• Release jobs to shipping as needed.
• Perform final inspections for specified customers.
• Weigh jobs for count verification.
