Quality Assurance Temporary Assistant - Mechanical Technician

Job Overview

Position: Quality Assurance PER Team – Temporary Assistant Mechanical Technician

Core hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Location: Engineering Laboratory – Easton, PA and/or Braden Facility

Reports to: Quality Engineering Supervisor

Scope of Work

Perform mechanical disassembly on various products and segregate materials for recycling. Work safely and independently on assigned projects. Transport scrap and in-process materials using company vehicles and powered lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble products related to post-analysis of closed PERs.
• Utilize manual, electric, pneumatic, and battery-powered hand tools safely; tools provided.
• Move materials using manual pallet jacks, hand carts, and occasionally overhead cranes (minimal use, max lift 40 lbs).
• Operate forklifts (training and certification provided; minimum 1-year experience preferred).
• Maintain records of scrap and project hours.
• Support QA PER technicians as needed.
• Keep work area organized, clean, and safe.
• Follow safety protocols, wear steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; good communication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with lift trucks preferred; training available for high racker lift.
• Valid PA driver’s license.
• Experience in a mechanical trade is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
