PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on power plant equipment and structures under supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make sound technical decisions regarding maintenance of complex mechanical equipment.
  • Develop troubleshooting plans to analyze malfunctions and determine root causes.
  • Use technical specifications and directives to develop and review maintenance and testing procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and vendors.
  • Work in challenging environments, including high noise, heat, dust, and confined spaces.
  • Work at heights on ladders and scaffolds.
  • Perform shift work or weekend duties as required.
  • Review and revise procedures, prints, and manuals.
  • Coordinate activities with plant personnel and vendors.
  • Perform tasks inside radiological controlled areas.
  • Maintain required qualifications per standards and training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED

Experience: Over four years as a Mechanic or Machinist, with successful completion of the Maintenance Selection System Test

Must complete initial training within 30 months and meet NRC psychological testing requirements. Radiation safety and respirator qualifications are required.

Starting pay: $42.44/hour
