Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years experience in QA/food in manufacturing with direct reports.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and GMP operations.
• SQF, HACCP, and PCQI certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of QA and sanitation, including staff supervision and safety.
• Oversee sanitation programs and master sanitation schedule.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Maintenance, Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Finance.
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and company policies are followed.
• Review Food Safety & Quality reports and audits.
• Lead audits (customer, third-party, FDA, USDA, Organic, SQF) and manage corrective actions.
• Investigate consumer complaints and perform root-cause analysis.
• Decide on hold/disposition of product and manage recalls.
• Monitor budget and financial performance of the department.
• Ensure training and SQF-related programs are completed.
