Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. in Seabrook, NJ is seeking a Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee line employees and coordinate production activities. This role reports to the Production Manager and drives safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer service metrics.

You will coach operators, ensure food safety and quality, and manage the PDCA process while working with maintenance to optimize line performance and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• College degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment.
• Must have experience using a PC and business information systems/software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Safety of our People and our products.
• Troubleshoot equipment individually and through coaching of operators when there is downtime.
• Assist operators in resolving mechanical and operational issues related to equipment stops and breakdowns.
• Define project priorities and provide direction to production staff.
• Monitor team performance and audit activities to ensure quality work and meet goals.
• Develop and implement operator preventative maintenance systems.
• Manage the production training program for the staff.
• Coordinate with the maintenance department to drive optimum performance on production lines.
