Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I based in Seabrook, New Jersey. This role enforces SQF standards for Food Safety and Quality, and ensures compliance with federal/state regulations and customer requirements in a production setting.

Responsibilities include testing, documentation, and line audits to ensure product specifications are met. The position involves tasting products occasionally and supporting production with analytical testing and QA tasks.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of lab-related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Microsoft Word experience.
• Microsoft Excel experience.
• Microsoft Outlook experience.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of QAD functions or ability to learn.
• Maintains lab supplies inventory.
• Perform and record analytical testing of the finished product.
• Perform sensory on finished product.
• Enter results into WINSPC.
• Pull and ship new products and customer samples as required.
• Maintain record etiquette.
• Perform line audits to ensure the finished product meets the specification.
• Verify all lab instrumentation per SOPs.
• Place non-conforming products and ingredients on hold.
• Ensure all PCs, CQPs, and CCPs are being adhered to.
• Complete ATP and Sanitation Effectiveness Swabs.
• Complete pre-start inspections and release area/line to production.
• Maintain the Finished Product Retain area.
• Assist Batchers and filler operators with analytical tests.
• Perform Tote Inspections and IA duties.
• Review daily line paperwork.
• Adhere to GMPs, GLPs, and housekeeping standards.
• Send out daily QA Line Report.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Adhere to and promote a culture of food safety and quality by understanding your roles and responsibilities in all related tasks.
• This role will be required to taste test products as needed, up to a couple of ounces per test.
• Perform all assigned tasks with a Safety/Food Safety mindset.
