Job summary

GDH is seeking a QA Manager to lead a small onshore and nearshore team, set QA standards, mentor staff, and contribute to testing and automation of internal back-office web apps.

In an Agile environment, you will collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to drive test coverage and quality, leveraging Playwright, Pytest, and Azure testing while staying current with行业 QA tools and AI-assisted practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA experience with at least 3 years in a hands-on lead/manager role.
• Proven experience mentoring QA teams.
• Strong manual and automated API, UI, and database testing.
• Proficiency in Python and Pytest; Playwright for UI automation.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience testing cloud-based apps in Azure.
• Familiarity with test management tools, preferably Qase.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Role Summary

The QA Manager is responsible for leading a small team of onshore and nearshore QA testers in testing, automating, and documenting internal back-office web applications. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, setting QA standards, mentoring team members, and contributing directly to testing and automation efforts. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders in an agile environment to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of onshore and nearshore QA testers, overseeing work planning, prioritization, and hiring processes.
• Define and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices for internal applications.
• Conduct testing, automation, and documentation of web applications hosted in Azure, ensuring functionality across desktop and mobile browsers.
• Review and optimize test automation code, ensuring adherence to coding standards, and maintain test suites.
• Investigate application performance issues and coordinate optimization efforts with development teams.
• Collaborate with business users to understand processes and propose technical and non-technical solutions.
• Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and release readiness.
• Stay current with industry QA tools, including AI-assisted testing practices and tools.
• Ensure quality assurance activities align with project timelines and organizational standards.
• Support the integration of new technologies, like Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and CI/CD pipelines, into QA workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a hands-on QA lead or managerial role.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing QA teams.
• Strong expertise in manual and automated API, UI, and database testing.
• Proficiency in Python and Pytest, with experience using Playwright for UI automation.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications, particularly in Azure environments.
• Familiarity with test management tools, preferably Qase.
• Experience working within an agile development environment.
• Strong process discipline, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Pay

Publishing Pay Range: $85.00 - $105.00

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
