Job summary

GDH is seeking a quality inspector to oversee inspection of raw materials and finished products, and to provide technical guidance to production while supporting QA/QC protocols. The role covers MT, PT, and CR film interpretation and involves maintaining inspection records in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate has experience in quality control, NDE methods, and manufacturing processes, with a willingness to learn tools like 3D arm, PMI, and OES devices, and to obtain MT/PT/RFI

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control, inspection, or related manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of welding, NDE methods, and inspection standards is highly advantageous.
• Ability to perform magnetic testing, dye penetrant testing, and interpret CR film results.
• Familiarity with machine design, machining, drawings, and QC activities.
• Willingness to learn new technical tools such as 3D arm, PMI, and OES devices.
• Ability to obtain MT, PT, and RFI certifications.
• Strong organizational skills with flexibility and stress resistance.
• Open to working in a hybrid schedule, with time split between remote and on-site.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform and document Magnetic Testing, Dye Penetrant Testing, and CR Film Interpretation.
• Establish non-conformity reports and quarantine non-conforming products to prevent further processing.
• Maintain databases, reports, and records supporting quality assurance and control activities.
• Ensure tools and instruments are compliant with ISO procedures and QA/QC standards.
• Collaborate with the Quality Manager to improve processes, equipment, and tools.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams in defect detection, acceptance, and rejection procedures.
• Archive technical data, codes, and standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Support non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and ensure certification requirements are met.
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts regarding inspection techniques and equipment.

Publishing Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00 Hourly
