Job summary

Sonoco Products Company seeks a senior quality professional to lead the plant quality assurance function in Oakdale, California. You will develop QA systems, drive RCA/CAPA, and ensure SQF/FSSC compliance to protect product safety and quality.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams, use Minitab or SPC tools, and train staff. Travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required.
• Experience with SQF or FSSC systems is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the plant quality assurance function.
• Develop, implement, and monitor QA systems to ensure conformance to standards.
• Drive root-cause analysis and CAPA to improve first-pass yields and reduce customer complaints.
• Coordinate internal and external audits for SQF/FSSC compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
