Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to lead QA reviews of risk-need assessments and evidence-based practices. The role emphasizes fidelity, coaching, and collaboration with probation staff and supervisors to improve case planning and outcomes.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with potential remote days, and requires strong communication, analytica l skills, and experience with ORAS/ OYAS. A bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; five years of professional experience, with two in program development/analysis/administration.
• Experience with risk-needs-assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Knowledge of ORAS and OYAS assessment tools and processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure fidelity to policy and practice standards.
• Schedule and conduct QA reviews, interviews, and debriefings; monitor RNA scoring and plans for success.
• Maintain in-office presence for coaching, observations, and client engagement.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to review QA findings and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance on risk-needs-assessment tools and evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate staff training and development opportunities.
• Build relationships with judges, staff, and stakeholders to support quality improvements.
