Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any area, which includes or is supplemented by 24 credit hours in the behavioral or social sciences.
• Open to Judiciary employees currently holding the permanent title of Probation Officer or Probation Officer Bilingual, or employees with one year permanent service in Investigator or Investigator Bilingual titles who have a bachelor's degree with 24 credits in behavioral/social sciences.
• Applicants approaching graduation may apply; must complete degree by start date.

Responsibilities

• Presentence Reports and Pretrial Intervention Reports for non-English speaking defendants.
• Assist non-English speaking customers in person and by phone for inquiries.
• Monitor and enforce conditions of the court.
• Identify client and customer case management needs.
• Inform and coordinate services for clients and customers.
• Monitor case flow and treatment plans; consult with the treatment team.
• Consult with judges regarding case status and issues.
• Prepare cases for hearing; interview complainants; write case notes.
• Assign cases to tracks and analyze cases per laws and regulations.
