Job summary

Duraco Specialty Tapes in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead day-to-day quality activities, including inspection, testing, release, and production support. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PPAPs, customer qualifications, and validation testing.
• Knowledge of SPC, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day quality activities for the Lancaster facility, including first-shift inspection, testing, release, and production support.
• Make routine decisions on product acceptance, rejection, containment, rework, and disposition; escalate high-impact issues.
• Manage quality holds and related records, including investigation progress and documentation.
• Provide floor-level problem solving and lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Investigate or support customer complaints with samples, records, data, and evidence.
• Support SCARs by evaluating incoming material concerns and coordinating with Purchasing and suppliers.
• Test and disposition incoming raw materials and communicate out-of-spec results.
• Compile and analyze quality data related to holds, scrap, complaints, and process characteristics.
• Identify recurring issues and drive containment and improvement actions.
• Partner with Production, Technical, Purchasing, Customer Service, and site leadership to resolve quality concerns.
• Train and coach Quality personnel and production staff on inspection, testing, and quality standards.
• Ensure clear shift handoffs with open holds, pending tests, deviations, and follow-up risks.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain an audit-ready quality area.
