Job summary

ABB Distribution Solutions in Pinetops, NC is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the 2nd/3rd shift quality testing, inspection and technician teams and ensure compliant, safe and cost-effective operations on the line.

You will drive risk assessment, audits and process improvements, coach a ~25-person team, partner with HR on staffing and training, and report to the Plant Quality Manager. The role requires 5+ years in Quality/Manufacturing/Engineering and ISO 9001:2015 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
• Manage ~25 direct reports; supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of RCA, 8D, CAPA; testing techniques and relevant equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and Power BI preferred.
• Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015; familiarity with IEEE, UL; SAP preferred.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks and safety hazards; implement plans to protect personnel and equipment.
• Staffing and development via HR; coaching for risk assessment and problem-solving.
• Drive prevention, process management, and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct audits; use analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances.
