Job summary

Wells Concrete is hiring a Quality Control Manager to lead QA/QC across our concrete plant. You will supervise inspectors, manage testing programs, and drive continuous improvement in product quality and processes.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in concrete construction, inspection, or related field.
• PCI Level II certification preferred
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification required/preferred
• Previous supervisory experience (1-2 years minimum)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant inspectors, testing technicians, and third-party inspection agencies
• Conduct and oversee raw material testing and concrete mix design development
• Perform pre- and post-pour inspections of forms and finished products
• Ensure compliance with Precast and PCI quality standards and manuals
• Maintain accurate records of all testing, inspections, and quality data
• Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and report issues to management
• Coordinate with production teams to improve product quality and efficiency
• Oversee batch plant quality processes, including moisture probes and reporting
• Verify product finishes, dimensions, and strength requirements prior to shipment
• Communicate with Engineering to resolve drawing or specification issues
• Maintain lab equipment, including calibration and preventative maintenance
• Develop and deliver training programs for quality control personnel
