Job summary

Systematic Business Consulting is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager for a precast/prestressed concrete operation in Indiana. The role leads the QC program, manages QC personnel, and collaborates with Production and Engineering to ensure PCI, ACI, ASTM, customer, and project requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will own the plant quality program, drive continuous improvement, and foster a strong quality culture with a focus on reducing rework and delays.

Qualifications

• Active PCI and ACI certifications are required.
• 5+ years of Quality Control/Quality Management experience in precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience managing QC personnel and plant quality programs.
• Strong knowledge of precast/prestressed production, concrete testing, mix designs, and material specifications.
• Experience with PCI plant audits and maintaining audit readiness. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project specifications, and tolerances.
• Experience with inspections, NCRs, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Proven ability to work effectively with Production and Engineering.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control department and QC personnel.
• Oversee inspections, testing, procedures, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with PCI, ACI, ASTM, and project requirements.
• Oversee concrete/material testing, mix performance, and product inspections.
• Verify reinforcement, prestressing, embeds, dimensions, tolerances, and finished products meet specifications.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
• Partner with Production and Engineering to resolve quality and technical issues.
• Train and develop QC personnel while promoting a quality-focused culture.
• Identify opportunities to reduce rework, scrap, and production delays.
