Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• Expected graduation date December 2027 or May 2028.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in product testing, materials science, or design validation.
• Ability to read and interpret test specifications and engineering documents.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, execution, and documentation of product performance and durability tests in Lowe’s QA Test Lab.
• Analyze results with engineers and technicians to identify defects or failure points.
• Support continuous improvement by reviewing lab processes, reporting tools, and quality protocols.
• Observe how QA collaborates with Merchandising, Sourcing, Compliance, and Product Development.
• Gain familiarity with national/industry standards for product testing (UL, ASTM, ANSI).

As a Quality Assurance Engineering Intern, you’ll work within the Global Merchandising organization to help ensure Lowe’s private brand products meet the highest standards before they reach our customers. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in our QA Test Lab—supporting engineers and lab technicians with product testing, results analysis, and process documentation. From evaluating product durability and safety to supporting cross‑functional reviews with Merchandising and Compliance teams, you’ll contribute to work that directly impacts product quality and customer trust. Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.

• 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in product testing, materials science, or design validation.
• Ability to read and interpret test specifications and engineering documents.
• Familiarity with lab tools and measurement devices is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Comfortable working in hands‑on environments such as lab or workshop settings.
• Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization is a plus.
