Job summary

As a Finance Intern at Lowe's, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting financial decisions that influence the success of a FORTUNE® 100 retailer. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll help analyze business performance, track financial metrics, and support forecasting and budgeting efforts. Summer Internship Program

Whether you're starting your professional journey or pivoting to a new field, Lowe's offers the resources and opportunities you need to thrive. Our 10-week summer internship program (May 24th - July 30th) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

What You Will Learn

• Build core communication skills for working cross-functionally across other Lowe's business units such as merchandising, supply chain, technology and other teams.
• How to interpret financial statements and key performance metrics, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Interact with Lowe's executive leadership and gain exposure to key success factors.
• How to track performance across business units using reporting and dashboard tools.
• How finance departments support strategic business initiatives and priorities.
• Exposure to financial systems (such as Oracle) and industry leading tools for analysis and modeling.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• Expected graduation dates of December 2027 or May 2028.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (specifically in Power Point, Excel and data analysis tools).
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, problem solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Relevant internship and/or experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
• Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
