Job summary

Mindscope in Plainview, NY is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support customers, suppliers, product development and manufacturing, ensuring products meet customer and regulatory specs and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead audits, root cause analyses, FAI per AS9102, and collaborate across teams to reduce defects and improve reliability; familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, the organization’s production processes and quality management systems (QMS).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments, including developers, project managers, and customer support teams.
• Proficient in, or the ability to learn, root cause analysis and corrective action methods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory specifications.
• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify defects and non-conformities.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in design and process reviews to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Provide training and support to production teams on quality standards and procedures.
• Create test procedures and quality plans to ensure product scope and functions are defined.
