Job summary

Cornerstone CFCU in Lockport, NY is seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor to support branch reviews, regulatory compliance and physical security across all locations. You will help mitigate risk, strengthen internal controls, and maintain a safe, secure environment for staff and members.

Responsibilities include conducting audits, reporting findings, monitoring regulatory adherence (BSA/AML, CIP, Truth in Savings), and collaborating with Retail Operations and Risk teams to drive process

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred.
• 3 Years of experience in a Financial Institution, Branch Operations, Compliance/Risk, is preferred.
• Experience with audits, quality assurance or risk assessments is preferred.
• Exposure to physical security operations is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Bondable upon initial employment and continue to be bondable throughout term of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine branch operational reviews to ensure controls with internal policies, regulatory requirements and established procedures.
• Evaluate internal controls, cash handling practices, documentation accuracy, and overall operational risk.
• Prepare comprehensive branch audit reports, documenting findings, trends, and corrective actions.
• Monitor and follow up on branch audit exceptions to ensure timely resolution and sustained compliance.
• Assist with security operations and the development, maintenance of policies and procedures.
