Job summary

Interstate Concrete & Asphalt Co., a CRH company, seeks a QC Tech to test gravel and concrete ensuring high quality materials for projects. You’ll split time between office/lab and field work, using a range of testing equipment and procedures. Training is provided to develop skills and certifications.

Ideal candidates are safety-minded, with basic math and PC skills, and a willingness to obtain WAQTC certifications. Overtime may be available depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics and proficiency in Microsoft & PC programs.
• Ability to obtain A.C.I. Concrete Technician certification and Concrete Strength Testing certification, WAQTC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants.
• Performs and records aggregate gradations.
• Performs field tests for concrete performance.
• Process samples using testing equipment and procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors on material flaws.
• Record data and enter information into computer systems.
• Travel to and from various sites.
• Assist other production team members as needed.
• Ensure regular and timely attendance.
