Job summary

CRH Texas Materials is seeking a QC Tech to perform inspection, testing, and documentation for plant facilities. You will develop relationships with customers, facility managers, DOT personnel, and state agencies while ensuring test results support compliant mix production.

The role emphasizes accurate data recording, timely certifications, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety policies. Travel may be required, and some night/weekend shifts could be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• DOT certifications required to test asphalt per state regulations.
• Must understand DOT regulations and testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, or other materials for quality control.
• Sample and test mixtures to stay in contract specifications and quality control tolerance.
• Monitor and test process functions and materials to meet agency or customer requirements.
• Prepare and record accurate information; maintain test results database.
• Obtain required certifications in a timely manner.
• Maintain lab equipment and certification paperwork; ensure re-certifications.
• Follow quality control plans and safety policies; assist team as needed.
• Be willing to travel and work nights/weekends when required.
