Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, seeks a skilled technician to safely operate sampling and testing of soils, aggregates and asphalt materials, and to report results. You will collect samples, run density gauges, document tests, and support field and lab operations.

The role requires DOT-spec knowledge, a valid driver’s license, 1–2 years QC experience preferred, and WAQTC certification is a plus. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years prior QC experience preferred.
• WAQTC certification preferred.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples for asphalt materials testing.
• Set up, operate and maintain nuclear density gauges.
• Follow state DOT specs and agency job specifications.
• Perform testing and reporting of results per protocol; record results.
• Report non-compliant tests to project supervisor.
• Maintain daily test records and submit results on time.
• Perform asphalt coring and density investigations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment.
