Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to conduct routine tests on raw materials, ready-mix concrete, and finished products to ensure quality standards on ongoing projects.

Responsibilities include monitoring production activities, daily testing of concrete specimens, pre- and post-pour inspections, and collaboration with engineering to ensure drawings and products meet requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years QC experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read shop/engineering drawings and interpret them.
• May be subject to drug testing, medical exams and physical agility testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production activities.
• Perform daily testing of concrete specimens.
• Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast/prestressed concrete products.
• Take proactive steps to reduce/eliminate detailing operations.
• Ensure correct implementation of our QC program.
• Work with the engineering department to ensure drawings and products are consistent.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
