Job summary

Actalent is hiring a QC Scientist I in Columbus, OH to join the quality team. The role focuses on bench testing, sample prep and analytical support for development and release of pharmaceutical products, with training in Oral Dose Solids and Nasals.

You will perform dilutions, wet chemistry, and standard weighings, while developing skills in HPLC and GC, ensuring data integrity and adherence to cGXP and SOPs. This is a contract-to-hire onsite opportunity in Columbus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science required.
• Laboratory experience outside academia preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
• Work with supervision using scientific judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation, wet chemistry, standard weighing, and dilutions.
• Undergo training on HPLC and GC.
• Conduct chemical and physical analyses to support development of manufacturable pharmaceutical products.
• Provide analytical support for release of registration materials for regulatory submissions.
• Assist in analytical method validation and transfer activities.
• Perform analytical tasks in support of product development, registration lot release, and regulatory submission activities.
• Complete activities within assigned timelines, complying with cGXP and company practices.
• Follow SOPs and maintain data integrity.
• Identify challenges in analytical methods and support troubleshooting.
