Job summary

Granite Construction seeks a QC Manager to implement and manage the Quality Control program on a large federal project. You will ensure onsite and offsite work meets contract standards through inspections, testing, and documentation, serving as the primary liaison with customers and regulators.

You will lead QC personnel, review specifications, conduct testing, and maintain records while ensuring safety standards per EM 385-1-1 and OSHA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years QC experience for degree holders or 10 years total with 5 years in QC for non-degree candidates.
• Must complete Construction Quality Management (CQM) course within 90 days if not current.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations.
• ASQ or ISO certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective QC system to ensure contract compliance.
• Lead and manage QC personnel, including hiring and training.
• Oversee QC Engineers and testing personnel to verify construction quality.
• Attend and lead coordination meetings to align QC with project execution.
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain QC certifications and documentation.
