Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a QC Manager II to implement and manage the Quality Control program on a federal construction project in Christmas Valley, Oregon. You will ensure work meets contract requirements, coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation, and act as the primary quality liaison with customers and regulators.

You will lead a team of QC professionals, manage subcontractor quality representations, and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required.
• Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification required; if not current at hire, completion within 90 days.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE), ASQ, ISO, or other quality certification required.
• Knowledge of FAR 52.246-12, EM 385-1-1, OSHA and MSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the project QC system per contract documents and standards.
• Manage the 3-Phase QC program: Preparatory, Initial and Follow-up phases.
• Lead and coordinate QC plan reviews, inspections, testing and corrective actions.
• Lead QC personnel training, coaching, and evaluation.
• Serve as primary quality liaison with federal customers and regulators.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management

PE, ASQ, ISO or other quality certification
