Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Quality Management leader to coordinate operating group QM functions, provide technical support for QC operations, and drive process improvements that align with Granite's standards.

You will develop quality budgets, review RFPs for quality requirements, train QC staff, and maintain relationships with public agencies and engineering firms, while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Registered Professional Engineer desirable
• ISO Internal Auditor Certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate QM initiatives for quality standards and customer benefits
• Support QC Managers in executing QM programs and operation-specific quality plans
• Provide technical support to resolve QC challenges and share knowledge
• Review RFPs to determine quality requirements and optimize QC plans
• Lead process improvements to boost efficiency and publish SOPs
• Develop QC staff and ensure engagement and succession
• Perform QM audits of area, region, and project quality operations
• Assist in QM budgets and forecasts to improve financial performance
• Build relationships with regional/state public agencies, customers, and engineers
• Promote Granite safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA compliance
