Job summary

Actalent in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to support testing, inspections, and QA activities within an advanced manufacturing environment. You will evaluate materials, conduct analytical tests, and document results to ensure products meet quality standards.

The role emphasizes data integrity, instrument operation (GC, HPLC, ICP, spectroscopy), CAPA support, and safe lab practices on a 3rd shift pattern. This is a permanent onsite position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a chemistry/materials related field is required.
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience in quality control or materials testing.
• Hands-on experience operating laboratory instrumentation and interpreting results.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing and quality inspections on materials and finished products.
• Conduct analytical tests including viscosity, solids, density, moisture, conductivity, and particle size.
• Operate analytical instrumentation (GC, HPLC, spectroscopy, rheology) to characterize materials.
• Record, analyze, and communicate test results to teams to support decisions.
• Maintain calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment.
