Job summary

ADM is seeking a team-oriented QC Lab Leader to guide the lab staff in safe operations, compliance with environmental laws, and adherence to ADM quality standards. This exempt role involves managing data inputs, testing programs, technician training, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and instrument maintenance.

The position emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and ownership of lab operations, with potential shift variations and a pay range reflecting Illinois market standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology (or related field) preferred.
• QA/QC experience preferred and strong safety mindset.
• Leadership experience preferred and ability to mentor technicians.
• Solid understanding of cGMP, cGLP, and FCC.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; statistics knowledge desired.
• Ability to troubleshoot standard lab equipment and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop laboratory technicians in in-process and finished product testing.
• Establish and maintain lab records and procedures aligned with ADM Quality initiatives.
• Oversee sampling, testing schedules, and documentation reviews.
• Maintain instrumentation with routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support safety programs and ADM safety initiatives.
• Identify root causes for quality and food safety non-conformances.
