Job summary

Nassal is seeking a QA/QC Analyst to uphold quality standards across Sculpt, Mold, and Cast production workflows. The role conducts inspections, reviews documentation, verifications, and final acceptances to ensure alignment with project specs, engineering requirements, artistic intent, and Nassal quality standards.

The Cast Division supports sculpting, mold fabrication, and fiberglass casting using foam, clay, silicone, epoxy, fiberglass, and composite materials.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of FRP, mold making, and casting processes.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC, fabrication, mold shop, casting, or composites experience preferred.
  • Understanding of fiberglass layups, resins, gel coats, silicone molds, and composite materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with themed entertainment, scenic fabrication, or architectural fabrication preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Commitment to ongoing skill development and artistic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and shop procedures.
  • Inspect molds, castings, sculptural elements, and fabricated components throughout production.
  • Verify compliance with project drawings, shop drawings, client requirements, and quality specifications.
  • Review FRP layups, mold construction techniques, casting methods, and finishing procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Document non-conformance issues and assist departments with corrective actions.
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
  • Evaluate dimensional accuracy, surface finishes, texture quality, and overall craftsmanship.
  • Support process improvement initiatives throughout Sculpt, Mold, and Cast operations.
  • Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and project documentation.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Production Leads, Foremen, and Fabrication teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety requirements and established fabrication procedures.
  • Participate in production meetings and quality reviews.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The QA/QC Analyst is responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the Sculpt, Mold, and Cast production processes.

This position performs inspections, documentation reviews, process verification, and final acceptance evaluations to ensure all finished products meet project specifications, engineering requirements, artistic intent, and Nassal quality standards.

The Cast Division supports sculpting, mold fabrication, and fiberglass (FRP) casting operations using foam, clay, silicone, epoxy, fiberglass, and composite materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Fabrication environment with exposure to dust, noise, and odors.
  • Regular use of PPE such as earplugs, safety glasses, and gloves is required.
  • May be required to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends based on project schedules.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift, sand, mask, and move materials up to 30 lbs. as needed.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to safely use tools and materials.
  • Must maintain continuous awareness of hazards and enforce safety practices.
