Job summary

Nassal is seeking a CNC Operator to machine precision metal components for fabrication projects in a fast-paced shop environment. You will load materials, fixtures, and programs into CNC machines, read blueprints, and verify tolerances to ensure quality output.

The role requires reading CAD drawings, staying compliant with safety policies, and collaborating with welders and leads to meet daily production targets. Strong attention to detail and quality are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Experience operating CNC machinery in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Familiarity with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum processing.
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and shop safety requirements.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and shop procedures.
  • Load materials, fixtures, tools, and programs into CNC machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, cut lists, and digital work orders.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality production.
  • Identify tooling wear and perform routine maintenance and tool changes.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished components prior to release to fabrication teams.
  • Maintain production schedules and meet daily output requirements.
  • Work closely with welders, fabricators, and leads to support fabrication activities.
  • Document production quantities, material usage, and inspection results.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision metal components used in fabrication and assembly projects.

This position supports production efficiency by accurately processing steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials according to shop drawings, digital work orders, and fabrication specifications while maintaining company quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities align with fabrication operations that support structural steel, plate, sheet metal, and custom assemblies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and shop procedures.
  • Load materials, fixtures, tools, and programs into CNC machines.
