Job summary

The Ziegenfelder Company is seeking a QA Technician to help ensure our frozen treats are ready for packaging by overseeing inputs, monitoring processes, and inspecting final products for quality. You will document QA procedures and drive improvements while partnering with Production and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include environmental monitoring, microbiological data recording, HMIs usage, and supporting sanitation schedules.

Qualifications

• One+ years in a food manufacturing facility preferred.
• Food Science/Technology or related degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with HACCP, SQF, SSOP & GMP; quality improvement skills desirable.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure finished treats are ready for packaging by preparing inputs, monitoring production, and inspecting products.
• Review and document QA processes and recommend improvements.
• Participate in environmental monitoring and collect samples.
• Record microbiological data and report to Quality Manager.
• Use HMIs to call ingredients and transfer batches.
• Support production tasks including mix making, cleaning, and sanitation scheduling.
• Perform multiple quality checks and document results in the data system.
