Job summary

Ziegenfelder Corporation is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure finished treats are prepped for packaging, monitor production, and inspect products for quality. The role involves QA documentation, process improvements, and adherence to HACCP, GMP, SQF, and SSOP standards.

The candidate will support sanitation, microbiological sampling, and batch record documentation, working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• One plus years within a food manufacturing facility preferred.
• Food Science or related degree preferred but not required; experience considered.
• Experience with Food Safety systems (HACCP, SQF, SSOP & GMP) and QA process improvement required.
• SQF certification preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure finished Ziegenfelder treats are ready for packaging by preparing inputs, monitoring processes, and inspecting products.
• Review and document QA processes; make improvement recommendations.
• Assist CIP and batch processing; operate with stainless pipes and hoses.
• Participate in plant sanitation tasks (floor cleaning, drains).
• Collect samples for environmental monitoring and document results.
• Record microbiological data and report findings to QA Manager.
• Use systems to call ingredients for processing and transfer of batches.
• Support lab functions and document batch records as required.
