Job summary

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC (Acme Street) an American Foods Group company is seeking a QA Technician at our Green Bay, WI plant. You will perform daily task rotations, review GMP/SOP paperwork, and conduct inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.

This role requires English proficiency, flexibility for extended hours and shifts, and completion of Safety, SQF, GMP, HACCP, SOPs, and Food defense trainings. USDA interactions may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in English (speak, read, and write) – communicate with Government and other designated personnel.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime.
• Must be able to successfully complete training: Safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food defense).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rotation of tasks (temperatures, box tare weights, sampling, and grade changes).
• Review and accurately complete required paperwork (GMP checks, SSOP corrective action log, and SOP corrective action log).
• Conduct pre-op/condensation/swabs.
• Monitor the implementation and compliance of all food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies, take corrective action, and follow up.
• Perform visual line and finished product inspections to ensure conformance to specifications, and correct specification deficiencies.
• Use production specification reports to gather, measure, analyze, and record inspection data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected or graded.
• Collect samples to be sent to lab for analysis.
• Interact with USDA as needed.
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, investigate and take corrective action, make recommendations on preventative measures, and document findings.
• Must be able to perform strength level 3 work.
